Yes, one of my rare (and horrifying) flourishes of color. Just for the record I really enjoyed “The Runaways” and highly recommend you see it. It is pretty much wall-to-wall drugs and sex, but there’s really solid acting and directing behind it. Dakota Fanning, as always, is awesome. But I surprised at how much I enjoyed Kristen Stewart’s performance as Joan Jett. I’d pretty much written her off thanks to the “Twilight” series but she was really good here. If she’s lucky she’ll still HAVE a career after bloody “Twilight” is over and she’ll do NOT crappy movies.
…That of course didn’t stop the powers that be from sneaking in a trailer for “Eclipse” before the movie started. Oh god, I don’t think I had seen a movie theater experience such simultaneous pain since the love scenes in “Revenge of the Sith”. A thousand voices screaming out in terror “PLEASE MAKE IT STOP”.
