I like to end on a “WTF?” note whenever I can.
So I FINALLY got through this story. It took forever, but I did it and I’m rather proud of how it turned out. I should warn all you guys that it’s gonna be about a month or two before I get to the next major story. In that time I’ll be posting some stuff that’s not necessarily non-canon, but doesn’t fit anywhere into the ongoing “Oh Goodie!” plotline. I always like to maintain forward momentum with the story and this stuff will be stand-alone material outside of that.
Next week in particular you’ll be seeing me posting sketches for a variety of stuff (some stuff I’ll be asking you to contribute to, some not). I have a lot of stuff I want to accomplish before I release the first print volume in March and I wanna take the time to make sure it all gets done. Some of this relates to how I’ll be doing “Oh Goodie!” in the future, so I want to take my time and make sure it’s right. I will still be posting new content when I say I will be though, so no worries.
In the meantime, funny story! So I’m at Target yesterday and when I go to pay for my items, I’m shocked to discover my debit card doesn’t work. Infuriated, I call up my bank and see that they de-activated it for fear of fraud. The woman on the phone lists off some of the last few transactions just to make sure they’re mine.
“Did you make a $250 payment to the Museum of Comic & Cartoon Art on Tuesday?” she asks.
“…Come again?” I said.
…And that’s how I discovered my check had cleared and my table as confirmed at the MoCCA Festival in April. I’m going to New York City! I’m BEYOND psyched!
