OH GOODIE! was started in the spring of 2002, during the tail end of my junior year. I'd become inspired by the webcomics revolution, and idly decided to start one of my own. The early comics were written and drawn during History class when I supposed to be taking notes. It probably wouldn't have become much if my good friend "Kisama" Lee hadn't enjoyed them and constructed a website for it. The first year I depended on him to update the website for me because I totally didn't know how to do it. Eventually I got restless with the update schedule and had him teach me how to do it. I've owned and operated OHGOODIE.net ever since.

While in comic strip format I haven't implemented much plot, but the idea has been pretty consistent. My cartoon alter ego James spends most of his days going through around bitching about life's little foibbles and playing in his crappy garage band. Lots of blue humor abound. I've been trying to cut back on the cursing in recent years, but that hasn't stopped me from writing some just plain demented jokes. I'm probably not cut out for newspapers, which is probably for the best. When trying to submit years ago I had to censor myself on a ridiculous level for the simplest thing. That life wasn't for me, so now I hang my freak flag high.

To hell with "sequential art", I'm a comic artist and I've never wanted to be (or referred to as) anything else. The internet has been good to me, but the internet is so over-saturated with webcomics now that I'm trying to improve OH GOODIE! so I can submit it for publication, along with a few other series I have in mind. Comic books are my first love, hopefully one day they'll love me back. I've also expanded my work into illustration and photography so I'm trying some new things there.

If you'd like to work with me or would like a commission, please feel free to contact me by e-mail or through my Myspace/Livejournal/Deviant Art. I'm also looking for models to do photo projects with, so feel free to contact me through Model Mayhem as well.

I've also decided to swallow my pride and start accepting donations. I didn't for years because it didn't feel right, but now I'm not so proud to refuse a dollar from somebody if they want to give me one. You're not obligated to, but if you'd like to donate to help keep this work going please click HERE.
