“Halloween 2012”

I tell you, after all the delays “Edgar Allen Woe” suffered and having to scrap an “Eddie Van Helsing” Halloween story this year, getting to do the Halloween one-off featuring the main cast ended up being very satisfying.  Hopefully I’ll be able to do the new story I thought up for November though, and be able to go through with the “Eddie Van Helsing” Christmas idea I had.  Not gonna get too ahead of myself and promise too much right now though.  I’m taking it one comic at a time.

That being said, I haven’t been shy in saying that Archie is one of my earliest influences (for “Oh Goodie!” especially), and “Josie and the Pussycats” is up there as well.  I even consider the movie one of my guilty pleasures.  I definitely don’t think it was appropriate for the audience they were aiming for, but it was surprisingly subversive for what was expected.  Which do you prefer?

I still have a certain fondness for the original cartoon, but didn’t bother seeing the live-action movie because it seemed to be an In Name Only rendition.
