I have a traffic court appointment today. Let me repeat that: I have a traffic court appointment on Friday the 13th. Y’know, normally I don’t think the universe is messing with me, but what am I supposed to think when something like this occurs?

It is very unlikely to have a traffic court appointment on Friday the 13th. But it is much more likely to *hear* about someone having such a court appointment. So for you it’s evidence the Universe is messing with you but for your readers it’s not. 🙂
