Little explanation:
At my work we have our own Sirius XM radio and we can tune it to listen to whatever we want, and aren’t limited to the bland annoying musak they play at the rest of the businesses around us. Usually we have it tuned to stations like Classic Vinyl or Classic Rewind, but the last week we’ve had it tuned to The Spectrum, and it’s been promoting the hell out of Coldplay’s new record “Mylo Xyloto”.
Now, believe it or not, I don’t have much against Coldplay. I don’t love them or hate them, I certainly thing there are more offensively bad groups out there. If you don’t like them, I can understand why and I have no comeback or argument for you. But while playing tracks from the new album, The Spectrum would have little audio blurbs in-between songs featuring the members of Coldplay talking about the new record. And it began to crack me up how they’d give these rambling Spinal Tap-like answers that would ultimately mean nothing once they were done saying them. So I wrote down my favorite quotes (believe me, I’m barely embellishing what they said here) and here you go.
Sorry I’ve been a bit lax this week after Halloween. Our holiday sale kicked off at work this week and I’ve been in a terrible mood as a result. I have some downtime now though, so “Oh Goodie!” resumes in earnest on Monday.
